9th Kaleiçi Old town Festival

The 9th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival was held from October 17 to 20, 2024, in the historic Kaleiçi district of Antalya. Organized by the Muratpaşa Municipality, the festival celebrated cultural heritage and international friendship, uniting cities with ancient histories from across the globe.


Celebrating Heritage at the 9th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival

The 9th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival was held from October 17 to 20, 2024, in the historic Kaleiçi district of Antalya. Organized by the Muratpaşa Municipality, the festival celebrated cultural heritage and international friendship, uniting cities with ancient histories from across the globe.

A Symbol of Global Connections

A key event of the festival was the unveiling of a commemorative board in Cumhuriyet Square, displaying the names of 116 cities from 39 countries, representing the global connections promoted through the event. This initiative sought to establish a network of solidarity among historic cities, highlighting shared cultural values and mutual respect.

A Festive Atmosphere Filled with Activities

Throughout the four-day festival, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities including live music performances, street shows, traditional crafts exhibitions, and cultural workshops. The vibrant atmosphere transformed Kaleiçi into a hub of artistic expression and intercultural dialogue, attracting both locals and tourists.
